When I couldn't even pray

It would have been easier

If I could at least shed a tear

It would have been easier

If I could give voice to a prayer

But the cares of this life have so choked my heart,

The evils of this world have so rent my spirit.

It felt like I could never extricate

Myself out of this soul-saddened state.

And when I finally saw light,

I knew it was not intellectual light.

It was a ray of hope

Born of your patience and persistence to coax

Me out of the broken and confused state.

It was you who gave from your heart

To whisper that prayer on my behalf.

"... my soul refused to be comforted ... I am so troubled that I cannot speak." Psalm 77:2,4

The poem is reproduced from the author's 2002 Diary for Today's Men and Women: Reflections of Life".

Dear Friend,

I am privileged to share a piece of Earth's massive estate with you in the little red dot, Singapore.

The truth is we all have been to space.  The outer space is really outside ourselves.  I'm glad you hopped on this space and I hope you'll enjoy being in this journey with me.

To a brilliant life!
