The Quintessence of Life

Another celebration ahead

Another birthday's coming

But what am I celebrating this time round,

Or rather all these years?

From the day I announced my arrival

upon this Earth

Till I set foot on my journey

upon the 'circle of the earth'

Must I emptily pass through the four seasons of

earthly existence

To just wonder what life's about?

You mean I've been chasing after the wind

all this while?

I concede that life's like a vapour.

But while it lasts,

I will not let it evaporate into nothingness

Without knowing that this little drop of dew

has contributed to a positive environmental influence to

those around me

well, at least makes the air

that we breathe a little more breathable.

"Whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appears for a little time, and then vanish away." James 4:14

"...be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass..." Micah 5:7

The above poem is reproduced from the author's 2001 Diary for Today's Men & Women: Inspirational Thougths for Everday Issues."

Dear Friend,

I am privileged to share a piece of Earth's massive estate with you in the little red dot, Singapore.

The truth is we all have been to space.  The outer space is really outside ourselves.  I'm glad you hopped on this space and I hope you'll enjoy being in this journey with me.

To a brilliant life!
